Dietz Brothers Music has proved to be one of Manhattan Beach’s most beloved and successful family businesses since opening its doors more than 30 years ago. Founded by Manhattan Beach brothers and music aficionados John and Pat Dietz and their musician wives Susan and Carol,
Dietz Bros provides lessons in guitar, bass, piano, mandolin, ukulele, saxophone and more. Group lessons have become popular as of late: Dietz Bros holds ukulele classes Tuesday nights and guitar classes Wednesday nights.
Erik Dietz, manager and guitar instructor, said he believes the South Bay community values Dietz Brothers’ for its quality lessons at reasonable prices and its commitment to keeping it a family business. Of the 15 instructors at the shop, Dietz noted, eight are family.
Morey's Music Store
First opening for business on December 1, 1924, Morey’s Music has been family owned and operated for over 90 years, providing exceptional service to Southern California musicians, music students, school districts, and more.
They specialise in fine stringed instruments, quality band and orchestra rentals and repairs.
They offer a large variety of quality violins, from rare and antique instruments dating back to the 1700s, to new American and European violins that can fit a variety of budgets.
